Volkswagen adds another video for Polo and gets a new fan: ME

Volkswagen took another shot across the bow of my cynicism the other day by releasing another VW Polo video.

V-dub has created a pretty decent piece of automotive marketing, although I argued earlier it is pure branding, and not much marketing.  That said, it’s growing on me.  I’ve always been a sucker for cheeky advertising, as useless and archaic as it’s becoming.  When print ads and 60 second spots were the norm, this stuff ruled.  Then it didn’t.  Now with the ability for long form, story based video online, it’s coming back.
